WHAT WOULD YOU DO IF SOMETHING YOU HAD FOR YOUR BABY IS RECALLED?
May 18th
Question by Adriana♥:
What would you do if something you had for your baby is recalled?
Well i was just looking at us consumer product safety commission and was looking at the baby recalls and about half way through i came across my sons swing…http://www.cpsc.gov/cpscpub/prerel/prhtml07/07197.html
2 days ago he discovered that he could lean over the side of it and got stuck and this day when i was feeding him in it he kept leaning forward and i kept having to push him back and it was pretty dangerous and i would never leave him unattended in it the only thing i have used it for since he got stuck was for his feedings because we do not have a highchair and i just ordered one and it should be here by tomorrow but in the mean time i am using the swing only for feedings…he is 6 months old and i know he has now out grown it but do you think i should call and try to see if i can get my money back…by the way if you look at the link it says “Sold at: Discount department stores and toy stores nationwide from November 2006 to May 2007 for about $ 65.” and i bought it December 2008 should i try or leave it alone?

IS IT SAFE TO PUT A BABY CAR SEAT IN A JEEP TJ?
May 14th
Question by torontomama007:
Is it safe to put a baby automobile seat in a Jeep TJ?
Hello eveyone! I am just wondering if anybody can help me out. I am currently 5 months pregnant and I am anticipating my baby in July. I have a 1997 Jeep TJ and was wondering if anyone knows it is a safe automobile to drive with a small rear facing infant automobile seat? The reason I ask is that the back seat of a Jeep Wrangler is a little more narrow then that of a car, also the back seats sit so high up that there is no metal protecting the baby since the window starts right about where the seat is… Anyways if someone knows anything about this or knows where I could find the info I would really appreciate it. Thanks!
I woulnd’t take the roof off, and I have a fiber glass hard top on it right now.

CAN CHILDREN BECOME PROACTIVE IN THEIR OWN SAFETY??
May 5th
Question by I_am_pure_energy:
Can Kids Become Proactive in their own Safety??
I’m always looking for ways to make my children’s life safer, but with more than half the products I have in my home that says, “Keep out of reach of Kids it’s hard to keep them safe. I have all the safety gadgets but they get into everything. I was reading a parent magazine and read a write-up called “Mr. No-No Saves Children’s Lives”. Read your kids the book then put stickers of Mr. No-No on things you do not want your kids to touch. It says they did a case study on infants to preteens and they documented a one-year-old baby would not touch anything Mr. No-No was on including his stuffed bear. So I went on line, I noticed there are a couple other safety characters, but they are stupid. Looks like allot of time and effort went into Mr. No-No. Some characters were just outright pathetic. Would it be easier for kids to learn to stay away from Mr. No-No or just try to keep teaching them all places & things not to touch? Check it out www.mrnono.com let me know what you think.

HOW CAN I SAFELY DISINFECT MY BABY TOYS?
Apr 27th
Question by :
How can I safely disinfect my baby toys?
I have two young kids that are close enough in age to share toys. I’m worried about them also sharing germs. My eldest has a cold, and I want to keep Sara from catching it. Is there a disinfectant wipe or a spray that’s safe to use on toys, highchairs, etc.? I’m worried that the chemicals in a spray will be worse than the germs.

IS IT TRUE THAT “ALL CAR SEATS ARE THE SAME” …?
Apr 22nd
Question by ღ My baby girl is almost 2! ღ:
Is it true that “all automobile seats are the same” …?
My aunt has a 2 1/2 year old and this day she bought her a new automobile seat. The least affordable one that Graco makes from Wal-Mart. I am 7 months pregnant and on my registry I have a travel system with the infant automobile seat and then a convertible automobile seat – Alpha Omega Elite. I have done a lot of research and they get pretty much equivalent ratings as the Britax automobile seats, but I just like this one better. Anyway, she told me not to spend that much money on a automobile seat because “all automobile seats are the same”. I know that they all have certain safety measures that they have to meet, but there are some with extra features. I brought it to her attention that yes I might pay $ 180 for a convertible automobile seat, but I will not have to buy a new one, unless God forbid I am in a wreck or something, where as she buys automobile seats as my cousin grows. So really she has spent as much money upgrading automobile seats as I plan to, if I do not get it for my baby shower, on one automobile seat for my daughter, that will fit her up to 100lbs! I would just like opinions… Am I wrong? Are all automobile seats the same? I know that when I read reviews and product info, they do not all offer the same features.
