How to Trim Baby Nails
IS THERE SUCH A THING AS NAIL FILE FOR BABY NAILS?
Jan 5th
Question by Nickynackynoo:
Is there such a thing as nail file for baby nails?
My 3 month old has razor sharp nails and she keep sctraching herself, I have used scratch mits but she just sucks them until they are soaking wet. I have baby scissors and I trim her nails often, no matter how I do it, her nails are still very sharp and I want to stop using scratch mits as she is learning to grab etc.. now and I do not want to hinder her development. I need to file her nails to soften them and an adult file is too harsh, any advice?
I have to wait until she is fast asleep before I can cut her nails, and even then she clenches her little fist so tight that I get can’t do a great job. She is always rubbing her eyes and nose and consequently cuts herself. I have put mits on her again this day and she is just sucking on the mits instead of her hands.
Thanks for info on where to get them but I live in Greece. UK shops would be useful as I can get someone to send them over.

HELP WITH INFANT CARE?
Jan 5th
Question by Erin G:
help with infant care?
My physician told me to trim my daughters nails while she was sleeping because she keeps scratching her face! I usually keep the little mittens on her but she usually gets them off somehow. Anyways I accidentally caught a bit of her skin along with the nail and i feel absolutely horrible. It bleed a little bit and she didnt cry much so i dont think i really hurt her. I cleaned it with peroxide and it stopped bleeding. Is tere anything else i should do?

WHAT’S THE BEST WAY TO TRIM A NEWBORN’S NAILS?
Oct 29th
Question by Kat:
What’s the ideal way to trim a newborn’s nails?
My baby is 6 days old and he seems to scratch himself if he doesn’t have his little mittens on. My pediatrician said it’s probably ideal to just use a nail file for now instead of trying cliping or slicing them.
What works ideal for you guys?

HOW TO KEEP A BABY’S NAILS PROPERLY TRIMMED AND FILED…?
Aug 20th
Question by Beth:
How to keep a baby’s nails properly trimmed and filed…?
My baby is 3 1/2 months old and he scratches himself, badly, all the time. The thing is, he’s way too old for those mitts, they are either too small or he rips them off in 2 seconds. And I keep his nails as short as possible, but they are still sharp no matter how much I file them down. I am doing his nails every day now! Has anyone else dealt with this? What eventually worked for you?
