MY DAUGHTER DOES NOT WANT TO BATHE?
May 14th
Question by smartypant:
my daughter does not want to bathe?
My daughter is 10 years old and she is a beautiful girl. She is starting to develop and is looking more and more like a young woman everyday. The problem is that she refuses to bathe. I litterally have to threaten to put her in the shower and bathe her myself, like she is a baby, just to get her into the shower. If I do not yell at her and threaten her to shower every single day, she will not do it. I have explained to her that she is a developing young woman and her hormones are doing some wild things and that her body will produce smells that will knock someone out! When she has body odor, I take that opportunity to explain the importance of being clean. I am at a loss on what to do. I told her that when children at school start telling her that she stinks and they do not want to be her friend, that I will not go to the school to deal with this because I can not argue the truth. I know, that sounds horrible but I do not know what else to do. what can I do?

IS THE NEW BORN BABY SMELL REAL?
Mar 8th
Question by cook1:
Is the new born baby smell real?
I remember I smelled a baby..or maybe kind of randomly caught the aroma of a 3 month old baby..my cousin’s son years ago and I remember it smelt similar to baby products like lotions or ath but somehow I think it was the new baby smell…at the time I did not know that there was such a thing until I guess later…
and when I found out about it I thought
Oh! that must have been the smell!
why would I think so.?
well when I smelled the baby , (it was his neck that smelt that way)
this was in Africa, in a village..and as you know Africa is hot ..etc
I am not sure what the parents bathe the baby in ..but he was 3 months at the time
If its real can I just say that an awesome phenomenon.
I mean there is nothing in the human body that I would think or know of of that could produce smells like that.. (well I am not an expert or dr so..)
when people think of humans having an odor..you think of sweat, poop, etc. and other things that for the most people do not smell good..
but somehow many newborns can come out smelling like that..? of course the
I can completely see how God doing this though..:) like His special touch : )
James 1:17
17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Dad of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.
Also I think its kind of smart..
making babies cute, smell good, etc..small ,precious, etc…like it will make the parents care much more superior for the child….
kind of sad though to think that without that would we love the babies as much..hmm?
I know there people out there who would but ..for most are many of the people in human race as a whole..yeah, not so sure..
( btw, I do not have children)

SMELLING BREAST FROM BREASTFEEDING?
Feb 4th
Question by :
Smelling breast from breastfeeding?
I have a 3 week old baby and ever since I started breastfeeding her, my breasts smell like sweat/body odor. I shower daily and wear fresh clothes and because of the smell I wash my breast several times a day. In the beginning I thought I might be sweating a lot but I checked my armpits and they smelled fine. I know it’s not the smell of the milk, because the milk smells different than that. And my breast never smelled before I had a baby. So how come it smells so bad now and how can I stop it?

BREAST MILK ODOR?
Jan 2nd
Question by Steena:
Breast milk odor?
When I am breastfeeding, I notice this foul odor that I thought it comes from my body but is not. I only smell it when I breastfeed. Even if I just took a shower and then I breastfeed, I still notice this odor and found out that it’s my own breast milk causing the odor.
When I smell my baby’s mouth, the odor is also there.
This doesn’t happen all the time but this is the second time. The first was when she was 3 weeks old then now again on her 3rd month.
What causes this odor?
and what should I do to prevent this from happening?
Only serious answers please. Thank you.

QUESTION ON SPELLING FOR BABY BOY BO/BEAU/BOUE/BOW/BOE ECT?
Dec 16th
Question by Pixie Stix:
Question on spelling for baby boy Bo/Beau/Boue/Bow/Boe ect?
We are having twin boys and have picked out names. One of them will have the middle name of “Bo” but we are unsure how to spell it. I have seen it spelled most like Bo and Beau, but have also seen it spelled Boue, Bow, and one even Boe. My husband does not like the spelling of Beau and thinks if we spell it Bo that people will think of BO as in Body Odor. He likes bow, but I do not like this spelling. Reminds me of bow as in take a bow and is also spelled like hair bow. We have considered Boue but are afraid it will be mistakenly pronounced like “Bouie.” Any other suggestions? Beau and Bow are basically out of the question. Will Bo or Boue be an okay spelling?
