Question by veronica:
Is it normal for an infant to have stringy stools?

Baby is 7 weeks old and her stools are more stringy than “seedy” or “curdled” looking.
She is being breastfed.

Answer by curious
That happened to my son a few times. One time it lasted a week. I was concerned but doc stated nothing was wrong (they did not see his poop, but checked him out). Do not know what causes it, but it’s weird.

He’s nearly 8 months old, breastfed, and has been eating solid food for over a month now.

6 month old daughter just had the last of her triple vaccinces yesterday and she is now producing loose stools are these related and is it a known side effect of the vaccince ?

Answer by winkipinki
fever and diahrrea can be a side effect of infant vaccines. If you suspect she might be becoming dehydrated take her to the physician immediatley. Other than that she will be fine :)
