Baby Stools
NEWBORN STOOLS RUNNY AND RASH ON BOTTOM ?
Dec 16th
Question by shannon t:
newborn stools runny and rash on bottom ?
My 6 day old baby who is formula fed has very loose stools. They are yellow, which I know is normal however extremely runny, sometimes shooting out while I change her not a huge amount but looks like the 1st part of mustard when you use it. Its also making her bottom very tender. I put destine on it each changing. Any other ointment someone can recommend and what about the stool. She does seem to be bothered by them. She pushes hard to get them out and crys like shes in pain every few minutes after she eats.

BABY STOOLS?
Jan 5th
Question by dsnk:
baby stools?
My baby is now 2.5 months old. He is absolutely on formula. Please dont lecture me on benefits of Breast Feeding. Help me by answering my question. My baby was extremely colicky and gassy and he is on Similac Alimentum. Till the last 2 days he would poop once a day and it was extremely dark green color poop. Now since last 2 days his stool color is changing to a more yellowish color and he is also less colicky. He still has gas but nothing mylicon cannot solve. But also he is passing stool about 3 times a day. I want to know if it is normal for a formula fed baby to change stool color and also pass more stool. Keeping in mind that we have made no changes to his diet.

STOOLS IN INFANT? HELP LOL?
Jan 5th
Question by little_miss_worry:
Stools in infant? Help lol?
I have a 2 month old who is formula fed on Enfamil. We switched her about a month ago from Similac to the Enfamil because she is extremely gassy, etc and she’s seemed to do better. Doc says she should have 2-4 stools a day and yellow (sorry to be graphic lol) – but she’s only doing one every day to TWO days and it’s half yellow, half green. Talked to the doc and she’s not concerned. What’s normal? Anything else I could try/do? I do give her simythicone drops to try to help with gas but I am not sure if that’s the whole problem and if it’s even working?
Thanks ![]()
- She is eating good – about 4.5 ounces every 3-4 hours…
