30WKS AND I’M FREAKIN OUT!!?
Jan 27th
Question by m:
30wks and i’m freakin out!!?
Ok so I have had one rough pregnancy and now I am at such a low point I don’t know what to do. So I have really bad contractions that hurt pretty bad but the worst part of it is the after pain. I have a cerclage in and during and after the contraction the sharp “ripping” pain that is coming from that area ( not vag and not bottom of tummy but in between from the inside) hurts so bad it makes it hard to breath. Then my lower back hurts so incredibly bad from the contractions. Then on top of that my mid back right by my kidney hurts so incredibly bad I have been throwing up from the pains. It freakin hurts to breath. Doc said I don’t have a kidney infection so don’t know what it is from, maybe weight? Don’t know neither does she. So almost each day I throw up because the pain is so bad, my fibromyalga is killin me too. His weight puts so much pressure on my joints that I use like a tube of bengay each day all over to try to make it. Each day it is worse. I can’t sleep more then 2-3 hrs if I am lucky, I pass out around 6 to 8 am but the rest of the night I feel like a drug addict going through withdrawals or something!! I freak out from restless leg syndrome but it is in my whole body instead of just my leg. I have tried everything and yesterday just lost it. I feel like I can’t do this anymore!! I feel so helpless, on so many meds for the contraction. I don’t know what to do!!! I am 30 n half wks and don’t know how to handle this anymore!!! What should I do…what can I do? I see my doc every week and she knows of all of this but doesn’t seem to be worried. I can’t handle the pain anymore, the no sleep, the restlessness, the PAIN!!!!!it has never been this bad and gets worse everyday. What do I do? I am giving up but I can’t cause we have been waiting so long for our miracle baby for so long! I don’t know how to keep going, please help!!!! Doc knows everything, but tells me nothing we can do but percocet, which I have seen what happens to babies addicted to it.and percocet doesn’t help anyways!!!!what do I do???? Please help I can’t find the strength to go on!!

Question by Tracy R:
Restless legs syndrome in pregnancy?
I have 4 weeks left till I have a caesarean and I can’t sleep. last night I did not get any sleep at all and I am exhausted. I have tried sex, hot baths, Ice packs and nothing is working. do you think a glass of wine might help to get me to sleep? I hardly ever drink as I can’t stand the taste of alcohol so I have not had any during the whole pregnancy. do you think it’s safe for the baby?

IS THERE ANYTHING I CAN SAFELY DO TO HELP ME STAY ASLEEP WHILE PREGNANT?
Jun 22nd
Question by rain:
Is there anything I can safely do to help me stay asleep while pregnant?
I am 17 weeks pregnant and for the last two weeks, I fall asleep fine but wake up around 12:30 or so and am really restless…i can’t even sit still. I feel like i have restless leg syndrome or something!! I end up cleaning, doing laundry, baking, whatever that keeps my moving until I usually can lay down again around 4 a.m. or so. I have cut out all caffeine, I am exhausted when i initially go to bed, and fall asleep easily, but can’t stay asleep. I feel like the baby is awake when I am asleep and asleep when I am awake! Any suggestions?

May 9th
Question by KB:
Why do my legs ache so much ?
I had a baby 4 mths ago. But just recently my legs are constantly aching right up into my lower back, mostly at night time. Apart from this I have no other symptoms, apart from a lot of hair loss. Which obviously means my hormones havent returned to normal. Im just wondering if anyone else had leg aches, I suffered with restless leg syndrome during the pregnancy. But not now. Many Thanks

RESTLESS LEG SYNDROME, AND ARMS TOO:(?
Mar 27th
Question by ѕкує вℓυє αкα ανα’ѕ мσмму:
Restless Leg Syndrome, and arms too:(?
This morning I got up and as I was going down the stairs I slipped and fell on my bum. I pulled my neck muscle and thats about it. Baby is moving all day so I am not worried about her. I went back to bed and when I woke up my legs felt extremely restless as well as my arms. I ended up sleeping the entire day- I just woke up at 9pm. My legs and arms still have that restless feeling. Could it be that little slip on the stairs that is making me feel this way? Or is it common to feel restless later on in pregnancy?

ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS FOR BABIES WHOSE MOTHERS TOOK AMBIEN IN THE LAST TRIMESTER OF PREGNANCY?
Feb 11th
Question by Nickaree:
Are there any side effects for babies whose moms took Ambien in the last trimester of pregnancy?
My doc prescribed 5mg of Ambien to take as needed at bed time for “restless leg syndrome”. I take it most nights and it helps a lot and doesn’t make me feel groggy which is good. But I am a little concerned about my baby. I have been taking it for a couple weeks on and off. I still feel him move regularly and my physician did prescribe it so she must know what she’s doing, I am just concerned. Any personal experiences?
