RELIABLE INFO ON SIDE EFFECTS OF BABY IMMUNIZATIONS?
Apr 16th
Question by Niki Disaster:
RELIABLE info on side effects of baby immunizations?
I am currently pregnant, and trying to decide if I will grant my baby to receive typical immunizations, such as MMR, Polio, etc. I have heard A LOT of people say that the shots are being linked to autism and contain metals that are not safe. Where can I find accurate and reliable information on this subject that I can trust?

ARE BABIES WITH FOOD ALLERGIES MORE LIKELY TO REACT TO VACCINATIONS?
Mar 9th
Question by Claire:
Are babies with food allergies more likely to react to vaccinations?
My 7 month old son is allergic to milk, eggs, and all nuts. He’s had the Polio, DTap, and Hib shots, but we did not give him the Rotavirus, Prevnar or Hep B yet. I am afraid because of his allergies he might react badly. I am especially nervous of the MMR when that comes up.
Does anyone know if children with food allergies are the ones who react badly to shots? The 2-3% that react? For people that had children react, were they allergic to foods?

IS IT OK TO GIVE MY 3 MONTH OLD ALL THESE MEDICATIONS? :(?
Jan 31st
Question by Noah Benjamin born 07/22/2009:
Is it ok to give my 3 month old all these medications?
?
I’m very worried about my 3 month old having to take all these medications.
He’s on Zantac for acid reflux. He had an Upper GI and definitely has it and has been up crying at night for 3-5 hours for the past 3 weeks. He went to his pediatrician and has gained lbs since his visit when he was 1 month old. So he upped his dosage from .08 ML to 1.6 ML. He also had his vaccinations yesterday and I was told to give him Infant Tylenol so he doesn’t get a fever. I was doing that until about 9 AM this morning, because I did not know how long I should give it to him. I noticed he had a fever of 100.5º F about 3 hours ago and gave him the tylenol. His pediatrician also said he probably has colic and told us to get gripe water. He’s not crying right now and I do not plan on giving him the gripe water unless he starts crying uncontrollably again, but I am worried about him having all these things in his body right now. He had the 5 in one shot, (DTaP, HiB and Polio.) the Hep B shot, and the rotavirus drink, he’s on Zantac and he’s on Tylenol. Should I NOT give him the Gripe Water if he cries or will it not make a difference? I was worried about the vaccines so his pedi scheduled the shot for meningitis his next set of vaccines.
I trust his pediatrician, but I am not sure if he was taking into account that he’s on Zantac and that he would be on Tylenol for the time being.
It does say it’s natural.

Question by ~ Mallory’s Mommy ~:
did your baby get the Pediarix, and Proquad vaccine?
The Pediarix is DTAP, POLIO and HEP B and the Proquad is MMR and VARIX. I think I want my baby to get DTAP, Polio and Hep B but not in one shot I’d rather have 3 separate shots same for the Proquad. What did you do for your baby?

WE HAVE OPTED OUT OF CHILD VACCINATION. WHY DOES MY DOCTOR REFUSE TO SEE MY CHILD FURTHER?
Sep 2nd
Question by Fred Head:
We have opted out of child vaccination. Why does my physician refuse to see my child further?
We took our infant child in for her 2 week check up. So far we refused all vaccinations for our child except for the Vitamin K shot. When we refused the Hepatitis B vaccine, our physician informed us that he can no longer care for our daughter because he “cannot do his job”.
He said that he respects our beliefs (now nice) but he trusts the suggestions of the CDC. So he offered to refer us to another doctor. I was shocked, especially considering that Hepatitis B is a disease transmitted by body fluid via sexual contact, blood transfusions, and sharing needles. We do not live in the hood, and as far as I know my baby is not walking back alleys at night.
Now I am no doctor, but I researched the other vaccinations like polio where only 20 people die of it per year. There are many sites that say an infants body does not have a strong immune system so vaccines are not always a good idea this early in life.
Is it so wrong that we do not get our child vaccinated right away (we intend to have her vaccinated before school starts)? Is it unethical for my physician to refuse to treat my daughter further?
