AT WHAT AGE DO BABIES BEGIN TO REGULATE THEIR BODY TEMPERATURE?
Sep 22nd
Question by YARE_SO:
At what age do babies begin to regulate their body temperature?
As in that they will not need warm water for their bath. I am not trying to give my baby an ice cold shower, like someone mentioned in another page… I live in Puerto Rico so water never comes “ice cold”. But I was told in hospital newborns can’t regulate their body temp. well and mine is almost 2 months… when do they start regulating their body temperature so they do not become extremely cold after a bath?

MY 3 MONTHS OLD BABY’S FLAT HEAD (ON THE BACK)?
Sep 21st
Question by Zoe:
My 3 months old baby’s flat head (on the back)?
My baby is a week to 3 months, as my first child, I do not know about flat head syndrome , I thought was good to leave everything nature. Recently I noticed his back head is so flat (when he’s born, he has this perfect head shape), I started to realise it’s a problem and I felt so guilty about it. I have started to have a lot of holding/tummy time when he is awake and side sleeps (supervised!). My concerns are 1)is it too late?2)will the flat area round up again?3)how long it takes to round up? 4)I heard when the child is able to turn while sleeping, it will correct itself, correct?
Any of you have any good tips/experience, I am really appreciated your helps.

Sep 18th
Question by Horse Up:
Does anyone have any recommendations on asthma in infants and toddlers, my daughter has been having problems since
Does anyone have any recommendations on asthma in infants and toddlers, my daughter has been having problems since she was 6 months old. At first they thought she had a bad case of bronchtis, because it kept coming back. But it has been 3 months now and now they can rule it out as asthma. She is now 1 year old. I would really like some tips with anyone that can share some information and tips on how to deal with this. Thank you.

CAN A BLADDER INFECTION MAKE A GROUP B STREP TEST COME BACK POSITIVE…I’M 37 WEEKS PREGNANT?
Sep 12th
Question by mommy material:
Can a bladder infection make a Group B Strep test come back positive…I’m 37 weeks pregnant?
I am 37 weeks pregnant and at my dr appt this day my urine came back with protein and blood in it. I have not had any other problems during pregnancy. The dr told me it was most likely a bladder infection and wanted me to start meds right away even though the culture results were not going to be back til monday. I went to get the prescription filled and the pharmacist told me that since I was 37 weeks that it was not safe to take the medicine prescribed by the dr between 38 weeks and 42 weeks because it can cause anemia in the baby. So I am not on anything yet and my dr office was shut when I got the prescription filled. I was also tested for the Group B strep test. My question is can having a bladder infection this far along cause the Strep B test to come back positive? I have been doing Research on the web and I have found multiple web pages discussing the effects untreated bladder infections can have on newborns and can cause preterm labor. I am very scared and I can’t speak to the dr til monday and it is currently friday. The pharmacist told me that if I get worse to go to the hospital but I did not even have any symptoms to begin with other than the urge to pee alot. If anyone can help give me a peace of mind til I speak to the dr it would be great. Thanks!

DID YOU “OPT OUT” OF HAVING YOUR BABY IMMUNISED (UK)?
Sep 12th
Question by Grace ♥:
Did you “opt out” of having your baby immunised (uk)?
My 12 week old daughter was due to have her second set of immunisations today…but I cancelled as I am so confused and worried about getting them done. The first set, at 8 weeks were awful…I cannot see how they can justify putting 2 needles that big into each leg. I have been researching, to try and make an informed choice, with no bias, but have just ended up more worried over it all than when I started…it’s so hard to find information on kids who have not had their immunisations out there.
What I’d like to know is…. Has anyone else decided not to get their child immunised, and is that child any superior or worse for it? I’d like to try and get some genuine, first hand answers, which I can’t seem to find anywhere else. This is my second child, with an 11 year gap…and I can tell you, the whole process just seems far more stressful than when I had my boy immunised years ago. He had all his needles, no problem. They were a lot smaller and only one needle per visit, as they’ve added different illness’ to the vaccine in the past few years. He was diagnosed with Asperger’s syndrome when he was 10 (probably absolutely unrelated, but these things do play on your mind.)
Anyway, I’d appreciate hearing from anyone who has decided NOT to get their child immunised…thanks
