WHAT IS CONSIDERED A TEMPERATURE IN BABIES?
Jan 23rd
Question by ddti:
WHAT IS CONSIDERED A TEMPERATURE IN BABIES?
3 month old with a temp ranging from 100.2-101 I am using a forehead scan thermometer, which I know is not as accurate as a rectal thermometer. Should I go ahead and give ibuprofen or wait?
Baby’s temperament seems pretty normal and NO other symptoms such as rash, teething etc.
Should I just monitor it until it reaches WHAT temp. and when should I give ibuprofen?
thank you!!!

NORMAL TEMPERATURE IN AN INFANT? NORMAL, OK, TOO LOW??
Jan 18th
Question by Tabbie:
normal temperature in an infant? normal, ok, too low??
ok i’m not a complete ditz when it comes to my daughter. but i’m curious about her temperature. i used an ear thermometer on her, the only kind i have. works fine, new battery.
well i took her temperature 3 times, 5 minutes apart. and it ranged from 96.2-96.6. now normally when we take her to the physician for a check up it’s around 98.5-9. she’s not acting too strange though i did notice she seems more crabby than usual. she was still kinda playing (more roling up in her blanket) and is still eating a little, but less than her normal.
she is 10 months old. i gave her a little motrin, did not know what else to do. she’s in a one piece footed fleece jammie outfit. after about an hour her temp had only reached 96.8. i have not taken it since because she’s in bed sleeping. is her temp any reason to cause alarm? and be serious here. i did not call her dr. because it was 7pm. did not take her to the ER because husband said she should be fine. but i’m still worried.

EXHAUSTED, AND LOSING TEMPER EASILY, ANY ADVICE?
Jan 15th
Question by wayshower:
Exhausted, and losing temper easily, any advice?
Ok, I have a 9 year old son with Asperger’s syndrome….I also have a 7 month old baby who still wakes up in the night to feed and cuddle….I feel physically and mentally drained, and exhausted, not to mention I cannot keep up with the mess in my home of all three boys, including my husband, and their mess. the Laundry is never ending, the kitchen is always a mess, and no matter how much I clean and clean, it goes back again and gets messy…..I have lack of sleep and have noticed in the last few days that I am irritable, cranky, emotional, angry, and losing my cool fast……The holidays are coming and I do not feel cheery, I just feel angry and exhausted and stressed out….I’m getting angry at the baby, at my older son, and even at my husband….I’m crying constantly, and feeling so frustrated. I would never hurt my kids, but I just do not know what to do…..does anybody else have a similar situation? I have got family coming in 1 week and so much to do…..I wish I could just sleep, but I dont’ even have time for that…..I just do not know why I am soo angry and irritable and blowing up these past few days…..what do you think is the ideal way to handle this? any new parents going through something similar, how do you rest or deal with this anger and frustration? please help
