NAPPY RASH – 3 MONTH OLD BABY
Jan 27th
Question by Frank:
nappy rash – 3 month old baby
Our 3 month old seems to have a nappy rash that is not getting any better…he has diahhorea since Sunday but is not dehydrated and is not refusing his bottles…he was at the doc yesterday and she thinks that he may be starting to teeth…and the diahhorea is not a cause for concern…..we have been trying Sodocream and have also been trying Morhulin ointment since yesterday but it’s not getting any better…it’s horrible seeing him suffer when we are changing his bum….any ideas on other lotions/potions that might help?
Thanks.
he has never had a nappy rash until this week………we use baby wipes such as Pampers or Easy or Johnstons etc….

SHOULD A NEWBORN BE ON HER BACK OR STOMACH WHEN HAVING “NAPPY-FREE TIME”?
Oct 2nd
Question by elizabeth_ashley44:
Should a newborn be on her back or stomach when having “nappy-free time”?
My one week old has a diaper rash, and it was recommended by several people on here to give her some time without a diaper to expose her bottom to the air. Should she be on her back for this, or can we (should we) put her on her stomach to get some tummy time in as well?

BABY HAS REALLY BAD NAPPY RASH THAT WON’T GO AWAY. ANY IDEAS?
Oct 2nd
Question by ♥ Twin Mammy! ♥:
Baby has really bad nappy rash that will not go away. Any ideas?
We’ve tried Sudocreme, Zinc and Castor, Bepanthen and now Vasogen.
None of them have worked and the rash looks as violent as ever. She doesn’t apear to be too bothered by it, she’s not crying in pain when we change her and she’s happy other than the nasty looking rash.
We’re not using wipes on her at the moment in case that aggravates the rash even more, it’s just water and cotton wool.
What else is out there that we can try? I feel so sorry for her going through this even though she doesn’t seem bothered herself! Her twin brother had nappy rash at 5 weeks old bnut that cleared up swiftly with the Zinc and Castor and it’s not come back since then. They are now 4 months old.
Could it be due to them teething partly? She seems to be a lot worse than him teething and her teeth are almost poking through. Seems to be taking forever for any teeth to come through but they feel sharp under the skin now.

Question by Simon Harmer:
My 15 month old baby has constant Diarrhea, and has had for 5 months. He has a bad nappy rash but no fever.?
I know some say teething is NOT a possibility for such symptoms, but we’re out of ideas. He has had three stool sample tests, all clear. Growing well and otherwise happy and healthy. Any ideas?
