Immunization Schedule
WHAT DO YOU DO ABOUT IMMUNIZATIONS?
Feb 22nd
Question by townsizz7:
What do you do about immunizations?
I have studied facts about both vaccines and diseases that are supposed to be prevented by vaccines. Vaccines still do not represent immunity nor they are 100% safe. On the other hand having the disease brings permanent immunity. So.. why the hassle and why putting preservatives and germs and viruses in my baby’s bloodstream if he could still get the disease whether is mild or not.
Why physicians recommends you blindly follow the vaccine schedule?
Is there a superior way to protect your child and stay away from vaccines that are not 100% safe?
Is this a battle of interests?

HAVE YOU HEARD ABOUT THE CREAM YOU REQUEST BEFORE YOUR BABY’S IMMUNIZATIONS TO NUMB THE AREA…?
Feb 1st
Question by •♥ηic☮ℓë♥•:
Have you heard about the cream you request before your baby’s immunizations to numb the area…?
I read in a magazine that if you call your baby’s pediatrician’s office a day or two before his scheduled immunizations you can request this cream that you apply to the shot area that numbs the pain. My son’s 9 month appointment is this Friday and he’ll be receiving vaccinations so I called this day to ask about the cream and the nurse basically told me it’s not worth it and did not really care if I wanted it or not, she was not getting it for me. Has anyone ever used the cream? Does it work? Should I try calling again tomorrow to tell them I really want it?

ARE YOU A VACCINATOR?
Nov 29th
Question by Monica H:
Are you a vaccinator?
**This was an answer I just posted to a question and thought I’d maybe try to inform the uninformed and of course light a fire under a few of the vaccine N*zi’s behinds until someone flagged me for deletion!
I hate to sound like an “anti-vaccine” spaz, but I do wish that people would at least research immunization before they let some doc inject their precious baby with toxins. Just some points to at least look at…
*Let’s take the flu vaccine for instance, do you get it? Has it worked for you? Have you heard countless people say that they’ve actually gotten sick after receiving it? Have you? Have you NOt getten and NOT gotten sick and NOT died? It’s not just the flu vaccine that’s unecessary and innefective.
*”I got my vaccines and I am fine”…pull up an immunization schedule from the year you were born, I guarantee there are at least 10 more vaccines on today’s…have you been dealthy ill or died because you did not receive these “new” vaccines?
*In a current measles outbreak 4 of 5 of the kids infected HAD been immunized.
*Look at the specific vaccine, how serious is the disease vs. the side effects of the ingredients of the vaccine?
*Did you have the chicken pox? Did you die from them? You now have lifetime immunity, vacines wear off in 5 years. We’re supposed to get boosters, most of us do not yet… we have not gotten sick? Did we need it in the 1st place?
* In a current measles outbreak, 4 of 5 of the kids infected HAD been vaccinated.
Please moms, for the sake of your babies, at least LOOK at the facts and whatever desicion you make, let it be a concious and educated one. Do not just follow along blindy with doc recomendations, vaccines and medicine are the biggesty business in the world, it’s not all about “public health and safety”.
**Disclaimer, there are definitely instances where the beneifts of a vaccine far outweigh the risks. In cases of high risks areas, poor hygeine/sanitation, weakened immune system, epidemic, etc. it makes sense to be vaccinated. In a small baby, immunizing them against Hep B (a sexually transmitted disease), probably not.
Sources: Mother of 2, studying to be a nurse. Suggest of my own and my kids health!!!
**Skye** Are you aware of the other ingredients in vaccines? It’s not JUST a weakened strain of the virus. These are actual TOXINS that have been proven to effect neurological development and function. Why give a newborn a vaccine that she will not need for another 15 years or so. Why not wait and get it at least until her brain is fully developed? I am in my 20′s as well and I can guarantee you that you did NOT get all vaccines your baby will get. Polio yes, and if there were a significant possibilty of my kids contracting it (i.e. a local outbreak), I WOULD get them vaccinated. My argument is not against vaccines. My kids are on an substitute schedule, they will not get 40+ vaccines before their even done fully developing.
**Mrs. Delusional- I have not been flagged, just know thats what happens when someone gets offended and reports a Q to the authorities. I do not want anyone to believe what I believe, I simply want people to stop and think and make informed decisions about they health of their children. I respect everyones decisions and choices as parents. My goal was to get mother who had possibly never heard of some of the side effects of vaccines to look into them, encourage people not to “go against” docs orders but question them. So many people think that they HAVE to get kids vaccinated, and may not have even considered that there are alternatives. I did not intend to offend anyone and the comment about “vaccine n*zi’s” was said in humor, not at all directed towards mother’s who make their own decisions.
I appreciate all of the comments with mothers stating they’ve made a concious decision to vaccinate because they’ve studied both sides. The most ignorant people are those that refuse to even think about looking into other options because they think their way is the only way.
**SKYE** y apologies, the fact that you are in Australlia absolutely changes things! Other countries have a much superior grasp on necesarry immunization schedules. I have not studied Australlias, my problem is with the US and it’s billion dollar drug industries forcing unnecessary vaccines such as chicken, pox, flu and many other down our childrens throats!! My apologies again, guess I should’ve specified which country I was referring to!!!

VACCINE SCHEDULES: UK AND CANADA MOMMIES ESPECIALLY?
Nov 8th
Question by rainwriterm:
Vaccine schedules: UK and Canada Mommies especially?
I’m curious about the differences between the UK and Canada vaccination schedules and the US vaccination schedule, so I am hoping that both UK and Canada mothers (everyone else is welcome too) could lend some insight.
Why is a meningitis vaccine given to babies in the UK (doses at 3, 4, and 12 months) and Canada (2, 4, and 6 months) but not in the US until 2-3 years old, and only then for high risk groups.

What has determined that a need for it exists in the UK and Canada but not the US?
I appreciate the stars… would any of you care to share even a guess?

MY BABY STARTS DRIVING US CRAZY? HELP!!!?
Sep 6th
Question by alex_and_jason:
My baby starts driving us crazy? Help!!!?
I have 7 and half month old baby girl which is really driving us nuts the last couple months. She’s not teething yet and she eats properly. No problem whatsoever with her digestion, normal nappies (poo and wee) and she’s a very healthy baby. Her immunisation is on schedule, basically everything’s ok.
What driving us nuts is she can not be apart from me for just a sec. She’ll scream on top of her voice until I get her what she wants. I can’t even have a time for myself like go to toilet or do the home work. My husband been trying so hard to play with her, give her all the attention, but still she screaming like there’s no tomorrow. I am not sure that she has anxiety separation because sometimes she’s okay with other people (like her nanny or uncle or even her dad) and the second she noticed im not there, she’ll scream and crying.
At night time, I do not get sleep properly because she grunts a lot and kickinguse all the time. She refused to sleep in the cot and she’ll scream if she wakes up and found out that she’s in there. The only way I can get a little bit of sleep is I sleep with her and my husband (she’s in the middle). Me and my husband always wake up feel like zombie until the point that both of us fell sick. This condition just make everything worst and sometimes we almost lost our temper.
Please help. ![]()
We tried to put her on the swing chair, rocker, give her toys (she has like almost every single toys from fisher price and bright stars, which i think she’s too spoilt to have all of that. Can’t help it, because it’s a gift from her nanna or auntie). Still, with all those luxuries, she doesn’t care and just want to scream. when i spoke to her,”No, do not do this. Mummy and daddy wants you to behave” she acts as if she doesn’t want to listen to me and cry louder. We tried to talk gently first, sometimes we need to raised our tone because with that way we’ll get her attention but still she just crying and acts like throwing a tantrum. Do you think baby this age able to throw a tantrum?
Additional information, she’s not crawling but she’s trying to walk. My Physician said some babies will skip the crawling stage. She’ll calm down sometimes if I hold her hands and guide her to make steps. (But I really can’t do this 24/7).

MY BABY NEEDS NEW IMMUNIZATION VACCINES BECAUSE HE HAS MOVED TO PAKISTAN FROM CANADA?
Jul 4th
Question by hehehe:
My baby needs new immunization vaccines because he has moved to Pakistan from Canada?
My Son was born in Canada in December 2010. He was immunized at 2 Month age in Canada. Following vaccines were given to him:
1. DTaP-IPV
2. Pneumococcal
3. Meningococcal
A week ago he has come to Pakistan and will stay here now. Does he need a new set of vaccines?
I must mention that I checked what vaccines are given here in Pakistan. Here they do not give Pneumococcal and Meningococcal but they give BCG (Tuberculosis) vaccine and HBV (Hepatitis B Vaccine).
Now I want to know if I need to do something different? He is 3 month old this day and his next vaccination is due at 4 month age according to Canada’s vaccination schedule. But here Ive come to know they give BCG and HBV right at birth and then at 1.5 month of age and then at 2.5 and then at 3.5. So I am confused what should I do?

DELAYED CHILDHOODIIMMUNIZATION SCHEDULE?
Jun 13th
Question by nickistar23:
Delayed childhoodiImmunization schedule?
I am wondering if anybody has done a delayed immunization schedule for their children. My son is 6 months old right now, about to have his 6 month well baby check up, and I am finally with a physician who will accomodate my suggestion for a delayed immunization schedule. Does anybody know of a good schedule to ensure that my son is not overloaded with shots while he is so young while still getting all of his immunizations by age 5? I have read the information from Dr. Sears’ website and a few others, but I am just wondering what people have ACTUALLY done who have tried this.
Just so people do not feel the need to challenge my choice… it is MY CHOICE and I have chosen to put my child on a delayed immunization schedule due to many current reports and evidence of a relationship between immunizations and childhood autism. 1 in 68 kids is not a risk I am willing to take, nor is my child getting sick by not getting one of his suggested immunizations; however, I would just like to stretch out the shots and not give my baby 6 shots in one day. He has only had Hep B at birth and DTP twice so far.

DO YOU THINK PREEMIES SHOULD WAIT LONGER TO GET THEIR IMMUNIZATION SHOTS?
May 1st
Question by Beachy Keen 2:
Do you think preemies should wait longer to get their immunization shots?
I have a preemie who was born 6 weeks early at only 3 pounds 5 ounces. He is scheduled to get his shots as a normal baby but it just seems too soon for a baby MUCH smaller than term babies his age to get the same shots. What do you think?
