IS IT SAFE FOR AN 11 MONTH OLD BABY TO HAVE A BOOSTER FLU SHOT IF SHE HAS A COLD?
Feb 2nd
Question by :
Is it safe for an 11 month old baby to have a booster flu shot if she has a cold?
My 11 month old baby girl had her first flu shot last month at which time they said in a month she would need another since it was her first shot ever and she’s less than 9 years old. She did not have any severe reaction to the shot she got last month ( maybe a little fatigue) but for the past couple days she’s been sick, nothing major just a cough and sniffles. Is it safe for her to have the booster shot though?

HAS ANYONE HAD A HEALTHY BABY AND TOOK THE SWINE FLU VACCINE WHILE PREGNANT?
Dec 20th
Question by :
Has anyone had a healthy baby and took the Swine Flu Vaccine while pregnant?
I took the swine flu vaccine (preservative free) and am 21 weeks pregnant. Even though I wanted to protect my baby, I still have worries that it could have hurt her. So, honestly, I just need some validation by hearing stories from women who had a healthy baby and took the swine flu vaccine. Thanks(:

IS YOUR BABY GETTING THE SWINE FLU SHOT?
Dec 9th
Question by PennyLane:
Is your baby getting the swine flu shot?
Are you having your baby get the swine flu shot? If so, how old is he or she and why have you decided to do it? If not, why?
My physician is recommending that I have all three of my children get the swine flu shot (ages 8 years, 6 years, and 9 months). I am not sure how I feel about it so I was hoping to get some other views on the subject. Thanks!

WHY CAN’T AN INFANT RECEIVE A FLU SHOT UNTIL THEIR 6 MONTHS OLD?!?
Dec 9th
Question by Ashley L:
Why can’t an infant receive a flu shot until their 6 months old?!?
I am 38 weeks pregnant and my physician is very presistant on me getting the flu shot so the baby get the immunity before it’s born since it can’t receive a flu shot until it’s 6 months old. I have never gotten a flu shot and I have never gotten sick with the flu… actually I have hardly ever gotten sick even with a little cold at that and I am 21 years old. I want to do whats ideal for my baby though but with that being said… my main concern is if a baby can’t get a flu shot until it’s 6 months old… what makes it ok to give it to the baby before it’s born?! Is there a reason for this 6 month rule?! Or did someone just pull it out of their butt and call it good?! I asked my physician why they aren’t granted to get one till 6 months and she did not know… I have searched and searched the world wide web and can not find any research on this… if anyone has any information as to why an infant can not receive a flu shot until they’re 6 months old I would greatly appreciate that help!!! Thanks!!!!
