Flat Head Syndrome in Baby
DOES ANYONE DISAGREE WITH THE “BACK TO SLEEP PROGRAM” FOR INFANTS? AND CAN YOU EXPLAIN WHY?
Jan 5th
Question by DT:
Does anyone disagree with the “Back to Sleep Program” for infants? And can you explain why?
This information is particularly for a poll purpose. And btw, all information from the Academy of Pediatrics and the SIDS foundation has not proved that this is a good practice. It is proving to cause such a condition as Flat Head syndrome (which, incrediably enough, evident by looking at infants who were primarily kept on their backs.) Thanks for you help.

DOES ANYONE ELSE HAVE A BABY WITH FLAT HEAD SYNDROME?
Dec 30th
Question by Violet:
Does anyone else have a baby with flat head syndrome?
My infant grandson was born with a flat spot on the back and side of his head. He’s 4 months old, and it still has not rounded out. He tends to sleep on that spot. His mother is working with various positioning techniques to get him to turn his head the other way. She also puts him on his tummy or in a vertical position as much as possible. His upper body and neck seem to be quite strong and well balanced.
His pediatrician has referred him to an orthotist for a cranial helmet. My daughter will certainly take him to get an evaluation, but she wants to think about all the options. Has anyone had experience with helmets, cranial massage, the “halo” pillow (like a donut, with a hole in the middle), or any other treatments? How well did they work for you? Would you advocate them?
Thanks for sharing your experiences.

BABIES WITH FLAT HEAD SYNDROME?
Nov 10th
Question by Crystal:
Babies with flat head syndrome?
I think my daughter has a flat head. Does anyone have any experience with this? Anyone used a corrective helmet or has the head just formed superior after bub was sitting? How serious does it have to be to get a helmet. I have an appointment with a specialist next week, just wondering how common it is.
She is 5 months, and it flat at the back, not the sides

I THINK MY 3MONTHS OLD DAUGHTER MIGHT HAVE HEARING PROBLEM?
Aug 20th
Question by **~GooGoo~** *~GaGa~*:
I think my 3months old daughter might have hearing problem?
My 3 months baby girl have been around 2 of my very loud dogs ever since she was inside my tummy. I was told that when baby is used to loud noises inside the moms womb he or she will not let noises bother her much while napping and such. you know how when most newborns hear loud sudden noise or just loud noises they jump and sometimes even cry? well my daughter have been nothing like that. she can take long naps with my dogs constantly barking plus my husband watching his ufc fights on tv. She passed her first hearing test when she was born so i wasnt worried until just recently. i saw how my friends 2 months old react to sounds and made me wonder if my daughter could hear well. i search on the web and tried mostly everything. She doesnt turn her head where the sound is coming from or response to my voice. but this could be because she has flat head syndrome and she still doesnt have a strong neck support to turn her head freely.
have anyone had this problem? should i worry and have her take another hearing test?
