Newborn Sceen Cystic Fibrosis?
My son will be 3 weeks old Wednesday. We had a physicians appointment Monday thought everything was going to be a normal routine check up and he told up that he had gotten his newborn screeing test back and my son tested “possible” for cystic fibrosis so we needed to go in and have a sweat test done. Well the next day we went in for the sweat test and was sent to the CF specialist while waiting for the test results. While at the CF specialist she said that my son had mutations on his newborn screening but the sweat test came back inadequate because he did not sweat enough…so we have to go back this Wednesday.

There is no family history on either side for CF, and im not sure if either me or my sons father are carriers, i had a blood test done but it takes 4-6 weeks to come back. My son doesn’t have any symptoms of it either.

Has anyone else had any experience with this and everything has came back fine?
