May 27th
Question by dvbrown:
How to get a picky eater to eat different foods?
My 9 month old is a very picky eater she only eats these things; greenbeans, puffs, rice, beans, potatoes, and toast. How can I get her to eat more foods, Ive tried giving her different things but its like she knows what the stuff looks like that she eats and she will just play with the food and no eat it.
She feeds herself. She does not eat baby food she wont let anyone feed her so I need ways to get her to try new things not different foods

TIPS FOR HELPING INFANT SLEEP BETTER AT NIGHT?
May 13th
Question by mari m:
Tips for helping infant sleep superior at night?
My son is 4 months old and doesn’t sleep all the way through the night. I know that all babies are different but I’d like to do whatever I can to help my little one sleep better.
We try to make sure the baby is well fed, with a new diaper, before going to bed. Also, we give him a nice warm bath before that last bottle. We’ve tried putting him down at 9pm, 10pm, 11pm, and 12am. No matter what..he wakes between 1am and 3 am.
If we feed him, he goes back to sleep until 6am. If we do not feed him and try to let him cry it out, he cries for about 30 minutes and then goes back to sleep until 6am. I think it’s cruel to not feed him if he’s hungry…but I also want him to eat/drink his food during the day and sleep superior at night.
Any other tips? We are giving him Enfamil AR which already has rice starch in it so can’t really add cereal to his bottle.
Is it just a matter of growing or is there something else we can do to get him to sleep longer?
Thanks.
mari

BREAST FEEDING/BOTTLE FEEDING QUESTION?
Apr 27th
Question by Happily Married for Life:
Breast feeding/bottle feeding question?
I’m planning on breast feeding my baby, but I was wondering if it’s usually hard to get a breast fed infant to take breast milk from a bottle once in a while if I were to leave the baby with a sitter? Does it usually cause nipple confusion for the baby? Do I need to introduce the baby to a bottle every so often so he’ll get used to both or….?
Any advice or views would be appreciated!
What are some tips that you could give me?

3. Do you know any good bottles? I have had problems with bottles, she would suck and suck and nothing would come out and by the time something would she exhausted of sucking and her little tummy was full of air. BURPING A NEWBORN.. ANY TIPS?
Mar 8th
Question by Logans Mommy 12/15/09:
Burping a newborn.. any tips?
My boyfriend and i just had our first baby 6 days ago. We’re trying to figure out how often we should burp him on a 3 oz bottle. Sometimes he burps other times it doesnt seem like he wants to.. we used to burp him by the half ounce but he doesnt seem to have to, so we burp him after an ounce. Is every child different when it comes to burping them or should we burp him after every ounce.. Another thing i wanted to know is there a certain spot on the back to burp him that would make it easier.. (higher or lower) and how long should we try to burp him for? .. Also.. they say you can feed your child every 3-4 hours i try to feed him closer to 4 hours instead of three but he seems really hungry by 3 .. is that okay or would it be over feeding him if i wait 3 hours instead of four. . If anyone has some good advice i’ll take it! ideal answer gets 10 points!
Thanks!

MY BABY IS A VERY PICKY EATER WITH SOLID FOODS WHAT CAN I DO? ALSO BOTTLE FEEDING QUESTION!!!?
Feb 22nd
Question by Mikayla:
My baby is a very picky eater with solid foods what can I do? Also bottle feeding question!!!?
My little girls is 8 months old, almost 9 months and she’s been eating solids since she was 6 months old. She use to love all vegetables and meat and vegetable dishes. She never liked pablum or any fruits and still doesn’t. She now will not eat vegetables just the meat and vegetable blends for 6 months. I have tried putting her on the next stage of foods for 8 month olds and she will not eat any of it and ends up puking it up if she does manage to swallow any of it and it’s the meat and vegetable blends. Is this normal? What can I do? I have just tried putting real fruit in one of those nets they hold and suck on and she does like that. Also one other question, she is breastfeeding and I have pumped milk and tried getting her use to the bottle but she refuses to drink milk out of it, she drinks water out of it fine but not breast milk. She even drinks from a straw cup but if there’s breast milk in there she will not drink it but she loves breastfeeding! Soooo confused!!!!!!

Feb 19th
Question by Purplish:
Breast-milk lover babies: Which is the ‘best’ feeding bottle in town as a second alternate for them?
My 4 months old baby monster doesn’t seem to love anything other then breast milk.. she doesn’t like any nipple or any other milk or any shaped pacifier. She chooses to remain option-less:)
But her pediatrician wants to introduce her to formula. And the doc has given me this task.. as being my monster’s mom:)

ANY TIPS FOR BABY’S FIRST RICE CEREAL FEEDING?
Feb 2nd
Question by I♡Kαү∂εη™:
Any tips for baby’s first rice cereal feeding?
I am going to be feeding my daughter her first solid foods today. I bought the gerber rice cereal. Now, how much did you feed your baby (teaspoons with milk). Did you just replace the bottle? When did you start giving them more? I feel like this is so complicated. Its much easier just to give them a bottle!
