Question by arianrhod:
How to deal with babies eye infection?

My little 17mth old has an eye infection I think (yellow gunge and crusty eyelashes in the morning) Been to doc he said it should clear up but to go back if it gets worse. I am cleaning the eyes as ideal I can with cotton wool buds and sterile warm water – anything else you can recommend? We’ve not had this before.

Sounds like your child has pink eye. Just keep it as clean as you can and if it doesn’t clear up in a day or two I’d be back at the doctor…and make sure it is gunky when you go so he can get a good look.
